Blueberry World

Blueberry World was founded through a partnership between Harm Valckx and Fruit World. They pack and sell their blueberries for the Dutch Blueberry Collective (DBC) members. The DBC has around 20 growers members who deliver the highest quality blueberries, with all growers being Global Gap certified.

Blueberry World has increased its product range to include strawberries with Sunberry bv marketing the fruit and Blueberry World taking care of packaging, logistics and distribution. Blueberry World aim to be a complete soft fruit supplier, supplying the full range of fruits from their global network of growers.

The company is a key link between the grower and the blueberry market, which is underlined by it’s passion for blueberries and market involvement. Blueberry World is more than a supplier of blueberries; they have impeccable service and detailed product knowledge and through these offer greater possibilities for customers and growers.

The location of their offices at Venlo is a strategic decision considering the distribution areas in Germany and the UK as well as the growing base for blueberries and strawberries. The Dutch blueberries will be delivered by DBC-growers and the strawberries will be delivered by member of the auction zone ZON.

To guarantee supply 12 months of the year blueberries are delivered by Blueberry World’s own growers from Germany and Poland, and then imported from France, Spain and South-Africa. Their strawberries are supplied out of season and are imported from growers in Spain and Egypt.

Blueberries and strawberries are the main products of Blueberry World and they invest heavily in relationships with the big supermarkets. The organisation delivers excellent product through the shortest supply chain and with the best service. They own all the facilities used, guaranteeing efficient distribution and packaging conforming to BRC and IFS standards.

The combination of Blueberry World with the complimentary expertise of Sunberry bv. makes them a supplier which brings together the best practices for berry supply.
