The Driscoll’s story started in 1904, when friends Joseph ‘Ed’ Reiter and R.O. Driscoll began producing flavourful Sweet Briar strawberries in California’s Pajaro Valley. More than a century later the Driscoll’s tradition of family farming endures. Today Driscoll’s is globally active in building the Driscoll’s brand with its renowned quality in berries. Driscoll’s is rapidly expanding its business in Europe, which is shown by the recent acquisition of the non-farming assets of the Spanish Alconeras company.
First and foremost Driscoll’s mission is to continually delight berry consumers through alignment with their Customers and Berry growers. In order to fulfill this mission Driscoll’s continually works to optimize quality, taste and the visual aspects of the berries.
Driscoll’s offers fresh grown strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries. In their berry breeding programmes they naturally cross-pollinate plants with the most desirable flavor, appearance and freshness characteristics to develop new Driscoll berry varieties. These unique varieties are patented and made available only to the independent farmers around the world that grow Driscoll’s berries. Driscoll's commitment to research and development means that their patented berry varieties naturally offer a delightful eating experience in terms of flavor, color, texture, shape and aroma. Driscoll’s are the worlds berry experts, and have been for over a century.
Driscoll’s headquarters are located in Watsonville, the United States, in the Pajaro Valley of California, about 95 miles south of San Francisco.
