Management training opportunities with growers

Berry Gardens has partnered with Management Development Services (MDS), experts in professional development within fresh produce, to provide a bespoke management training programme for staff who are either current employees of members of Berry Gardens or who aspire to work in the soft fruit industry and join a member business on successful completion of the training programme.

The two-year Berry Gardens – MDS Management Training Scheme combines practical experience with ‘off-the-job’ learning.   Successful candidates are employed by Berry Gardens and given four secondments of six months duration each, at four different Berry Gardens member businesses.

A secondment will be a position of genuine management responsibility, a work placement in which the trainee is expected to play a full part in the day-to-day running of the business, with the support and co-operation of those around them.

A management career within the marketing environment

We also place MDS trainees within Berry Gardens Limited to fulfill roles in sales and marketing, customer facing technical management, administration and finance. These placements are for six months duration, out of a total MDS scheme length of two years, within differing fresh produce businesses.
