Berry Gardens celebrates record growth in its 40th year

The 40th Annual General Meeting of Berry Gardens Growers Limited was held on May 1st in Bransford, Worcester. Finance Director Nick Allen reported that Group sales in 2011 surpassed £200 million for the first time in the Co-operative’s forty year history, increasing by 11% to a new high of £214M.  read more

Driscoll’s Raspberries are UK consumers’ favourites – Year Round, Berry Gardens is pleased to report that its combined January/February market share of UK retailers raspberry sales has proved what research and retailer taste panels have always indicted with the quality of the berries growing. Berry Gardens’ share of the market rose from 25% in 2011 to 40% in 2012.  read more

A Strawberry by Any Other Name Would Not Taste as Sweet, Sometimes the naming of a strawberry can have quite a colourful origin. Such is the tale of Driscoll’s Magdalena. During the summer of 2008, at the BerryTech conference held at the Crieff Hydro Hotel in Scotland, inspiration from a waitress at the hotel led to the naming of the popular soft fruit.  read more
